Tracer Black is a capacitance based volumetric fuel sensor. The Sensor connected with any GPS tracking system measures the fuel level in liners and transmits the data to the cloud based application for the users to monitor in real time.
The sensor probe and the metal wall of sensor form the two plates of a capacitor. Fuel (diesel) forms the dielectric between these sensor wall and señor probe. The amount of capacitance formed is proportional to the level of diesel between the plates. Tracer black has specially developed capacitance change gauging circuit to measure any change in the level of fuel. Translation of level from capacitance is done according to the calibration point of the probe.
